I am drawn to the spaces in between, between things, between people, and between brands. It is from these spaces that differences emerge. To express and highlight them, I use words
I am a verbal designer, voice actress and author. I craft the verbal identity of brands: name, payoff, copy and tone of voice. I teach copywriting and lead workshops in autobiographical and creative writing. I am currently training to become an expressive therapist.
For more than eighteen years, I have lived immersed in words, written and spoken. I was born on paper, grew up on the radio and now inhabit the web. As a freelancer, I work under the name BalenalaB, helping very different companies such as Generali, Illy, COOP, Nespresso, Menz&Gasser and Ravelli find their voice and make it resonate in a recognizable way. Voice work has also become a second language for me: through My Italian Voice, I have recorded hundreds of audio projects for clients such as Samsung, Decathlon, Hitachi, Musée d’Orsay, Ferrero, Eni, ANAS, Amazon and Golden Lady.
I wrote Scrivi più bianco for Zandegù, a guide in which I share my method for making writing more authentic, more readable and more personal. All of this, writing, voice and teaching, is my form of care: seeking the truth of a story and giving it back with precision, gentleness and courage.
At Wyde, I bring my attention to words and relationships, helping people and organizations find their voice, communicate it with consistency and create, through that voice, bridges that help them meet each other.
My personal way of caring for others
Amid all the words that surround me, I know how to recognize when it is time to stay quiet, offer a hug or listen without interrupting while I pour coffee into two cups.
