Values and Mindset: Building Corporate Culture with Arena

Culture is not imposed, it is built.

With Arena, we transformed corporate values into a shared language, engaging people from four countries in a journey of discovery, dialogue, and redefinition.

The Journey

Values are not abstract words to hang on a wall; they are the way a company chooses to act every day. Yet all too often, they remain lists disconnected from reality, expressed in behaviors that no one truly remembers. With Arena, we wanted to do something different: create a participatory process where values emerge from people’s experiences and become real tools of corporate culture.

We engaged teams from the United States, France, Germany, and Italy in workshops that brought the values to life, turning them into tangible elements of daily work. Our research team then collected and refined the contributions for a rewriting and synthesis process. But we didn’t stop there: we introduced the concept of mindset, a key element that defines the company’s identity and, unlike long lists of behaviors that are quickly forgotten, leaves a lasting impression and guides the way people work.

Values + Mindset = Culture. This was at the heart of our work with Arena: a process that builds principles from the ground up, making them alive, shared, and capable of transforming how people see themselves within a company.
