Waste Management Policy
WYDE recognizes the importance of responsible waste management as an integral part of environmental sustainability. Although we operate in coworking spaces, we are committed to promoting responsible practices among everyone working with us and to reducing the environmental impact of our day to day activities.
Objectives and scope
The purpose of this Policy is to:
- Promote the adoption of practices that reduce, reuse, and recycle materials.
- Raise awareness among employees, collaborators, partners, and visitors about sustainable waste management practices.
- Ensure that waste is disposed of correctly using the facilities and collection points provided by the coworking space.
- Encourage the reuse and sharing of materials and equipment whenever possible.
This Policy applies to everyone working with WYDE and to all activities carried out within the coworking space where we operate.
Guiding principles
Everyone involved is encouraged to follow the principles of responsible waste management:
- Reduce: limit the consumption of materials and resources by avoiding waste.
- Reuse: give materials, tools, or equipment a second life before considering disposal.
- Recycle: dispose of waste correctly using the recycling facilities available within the coworking space.
- Dispose responsibly: follow the coworking space guidelines for the disposal of special or hazardous waste, such as batteries, toner cartridges, or electronic equipment.
Expected behaviors
- Use the recycling facilities available within the coworking space.
- Reduce the use of single use materials and give preference to reusable alternatives.
- Encourage the sharing of materials, tools, and digital documents.
- Raise awareness among colleagues, collaborators, and visitors about the importance of responsible waste management.
- Report any issues or opportunities for improvement in waste management within the workplace.
Monitoring and improvement
WYDE promotes the periodic review of its waste management practices by gathering feedback from the team and everyone involved in order to identify opportunities for improvement and strengthen the culture of sustainability.
Roles and responsibilities
Everyone at WYDE contributes to responsible waste management within the scope of their own role and responsibilities.
The Impact Manager (RIMP) is responsible for planning activities, promoting responsible practices, and overseeing the implementation of this Policy. While acting in a coordinating role, the Impact Manager (RIMP) does not replace individual responsibility. Every employee and collaborator is expected to actively contribute to the development and strengthening of sustainable practices.
Approval, validity and policy updates
This Waste Management Policy has been approved by the Board of Directors, which promotes its adoption by everyone working with the company.
The Policy is subject to periodic review to ensure its continued effectiveness and suitability to WYDE’s operational context.
Policy sharing and communication
The Policy is shared with everyone working with WYDE through internal communication channels in order to ensure transparency for employees and collaborators and promote the adoption of sustainable practices.
